project management

for melanoma patient advocates

21st to 23rd November 2014

Sweden at Krusenberg Herrgård

Why a project management workshop?

Most Melanoma advocates are highly- motivated volunteers who use their spare time for advocacy, in addition to their profession, their family life and sometimes while being patients themselves.

We all want to see the desperate situation of today's Melanoma patients change and managing advocacy projects with limited resources of time and money successfully is one of the key factors to ensure progress- therefore this workshop!

In addition, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet Melanoma advocates from other European countries for you to share your experiences and to get inspired by what others have been doing.

Who should attend?

European Melanoma advocates who are running or planning to run Melanoma advocacy projects and who are interested in connecting with other advocates to share their experiences and knowledge. The workshop will be conducted in English, so a sufficient working knowledge of English is necessary.

The number of participants is limited to 25 advocates to ensure that the workshop becomes as interactive and efficient as possible and requires application. Participants will be selected based on motivation and their interest in collaboration and exchange with other advocates. We also aim for a representative European mix of advocates!

Participation

Workshop participation and full-board accommodation (with the exception of extras) are free of charge for accepted participants. Travel costs will be reimbursed up to a maximum of 400 Euros after the meeting upon the provision of receipts.

Workshop participation, travel

will be free for participants!

Bob is fascinated with why some projects succeed- and many more fail- and he has actually made the turn-around of failing projects his specialty. He believes that any project whether small or large profits from a systematic understanding of the fundamental principles of what successful projects are about and has shared his insights in a number of project management courses. Bob thereby manages to present complex ideas in a clear and concise way with the help of real-world examples- which ensures that the concepts stick!

For our workshop, Bob has offered to individually discuss their projects with participants during breaks or in the evening and after the comments from our last conference, there will be enough time for exchange!
